Our winter season starts with one of the nicest projects! We are getting Joana Andrade to our cabin with us for a couple of days in the middle of December. A big wave surfer from Portugal, one of the few big wave surfer women of the world.
A documentary project by Minna Dufton where they follow Joana's life and we get a few days with her too, Johanna teaching her apnea and freediving.

You can watch the trailer of the documentary here: https://vimeo.com/290070760. Can't wait to see the whole story. So nice to be a part of this project with Minna Dufton and Heidi Richert and the rest of the team. It's funny - I watched this trailer and can't believe how similar Johanna and Joana are!
We are also in a process of writing an apnea book for surfers, so getting Joana to come here and tell us more about the world of surfers will make our thoughts also clearer at how surfers think and what kind of situations they face when being underwater pushed by the waves. Interesting and exciting.
We will share more when Joana is here. Stay tuned!
