VAI-KØ Clothing

It's been crazy windy and rainy in Finland for the past week. A few days ago, on our ElinaJohannaDay we went out with VAI-KØ Clothing - beautiful warm beanies and tops, made from Pure Waste fabrics.

This is what VAI-KØ says about their beanies and clothing:

"We've spent a huge amount of time testing the beanies over and over again to make sure they are great in every aspect. What we got now, is six amazing styles made from 100% bluesign® certified merino wool.

bluesign® certified products are the number one pick for ecologically and ethically conscious people. The system reduces environmental impact concerning the entire textile supply chain monitoring that unsustainable substances don't enter the production cycle at all. The outcome is environmentally and user friendly product, in this case your new beanie.

VAI-KØ is a holistic lifestyle brand from Finland. The name VAI-KØ derives from a Finnish word asking for an alternative. Our whole brand philosophy is tied around that word. We want to be the alternative for conventional fashion industry by making decisions that are fair to nature and fair to people. For us the product is only complete when both of these things are observed. We use only best available materials that are ecological and work only with ethical manufacturing companies. It's important to us that you get high quality apparel that is fairly produced."

All the products are made in Finland. We love them.

We took our van and had lunch. It was raining. We thought we would need to just have our day and not shoot anything because of the weather but after lunch and after coffee the rain stopped. So here we were in Lauttasaari, in one of our favourite locations on the harbour. All the boats had already been taken out of the water for winter.

Today we had Johanna as a model and also one of the other Finnish freedivers, Teemu Nurmi. They actually thought of going in the water but in the end it was a bit chilly so we just took the pictures and forgot about diving.
